Disaster Recovery (DR)
The full plan for getting a business back online after a major IT failure — not just having backups.
Disaster recovery is broader than backup: it's the tested plan for actually restoring systems, access and operations after ransomware, hardware failure, or a site becoming unavailable, within agreed RPO/RTO targets. A DR plan that's never been tested is a guess, not a guarantee — the only way to know it works is to actually run a recovery drill.
